Class Times: (Week 2)

Survival Swim will be 09:10

Seal 1  10:00-10:30                                          Marlin 6   10:00-10:40

Seal 2 10:30-11:00                                          Marlin 7 10:40-11:20

Seal 3   11:00-11:30                                          Marlin 8 A 11:20-12:00

Seal 5 11:30-12:00                                         Marlin 8 B 12:00-12:40

Safety 1 will be at 13:00-14:00 please bring a pair of shorts for Simple Rescues

Safety 2 will be at 14:00-15:00 please also have a pair of shorts for Simple Rescues.

Safety 3 will be at 15:00-16:00

Safety 4 will be at 16:00-17:00 for Water work please bring a long sleeve shirt and trousers (leggings) and shoes all for in water.

Rescue 1 will also be doing water work at 16:00-17:00 also bring long sleeve shirt and trousers and shoes.

Theory for Rescue 1 and Safety 4 at 17:00-17:45

Please note Safety 4 and Rescue 1 need to do Survival Swim.

The Seal & Marlin certification has been changed by Water Safety Ireland. What was 15 certs (Seal 1-5, Marlin 6-10 and Orca 11-15) is now condensed to 10 certs.
You must use the grid and information link below to select the correct class for your child.

If, for example, your child completed Marlin 8 in 2022 the equivalent of that in the new certification is Marlin 6.  Therefore you should register the child for Marlin 7 for this year.

Wetsuits, swim hats and goggles recommended but not required. All participants will receive a Water Safety swim hat.

It is important to stay in allocated groups - instructors may move candidates according to ability after swim assessments.

Certificates

Seal & Marlin certificates will be presented in Fridays class. Your child may be moved classes midweek to best suit their Friday ability.

Safety & Rescue certificates are issued to our local cert secretary later in the summer. Please provide an A4 SAE with the location & class to the organisers/instructor if you wish your to be posted out. Otherwise they are always available for collection at classes the following year
